This Saturday the Northcote Pottery Supplies artists in residence will be opening their studio doors so that interested parties can nosy about and see what they have been up to. Some of these creative spaces are tucked away in corners that you may never have realised were even there!
Organised in association with Craft Victoria's Craft Cubed festival, this is a great chance have a chat to practising ceramic artists, ask about materials, discuss processes and maybe get a sneak peek at new work in development.
Thank you to Kim Brockett for the images above. Kim recently popped in for a studio visit (and a coffee for me!) resulting in a lovely show and tell moment on the Craft Vic blog.
I will be combining this Saturday's open day with my annual Winter Studio Sale. In amongst the classes, fellow wanderers and chats there will be a table full of very affordable samples and seconds to browse through.
And if that isn't enough to get you there (!)...
you can also mosey about in the latest addition to the Northcote Pottery building The Vintage Element "a small retail store that sells unique second hand items for collectors, crafters, designers and gift givers." Like this...
and this...

Oooh, exciting! I love the new big stripes Sophie...perhaps will have to do some saving, as my new home collection in Bloomington, Indiana is very sparse. They have these great pottery sales by students throughout the year though, the pot is king here...which is so refreshing! xxx
