Charity auction season

And well it should be with the weird state of the world.

I have contributed to two auctions, am helping organise another but for the moment I would like to mention one I have simply heard about as it starts tomorrow and the included ceramic work is really quite spectacular.

Handmade For Japan is being organised by American/Japanese potter Ayumi Horie whose work I very much admire.

To get straight to the point...

The auction will be held next Thursday, March 24th, 8pm EST to Sunday, March 27th, 8pm EST on eBay and we'll have assured bids so check in early. Right now we have a public Facebook page where we are previewing the items as they come in. Even if you're not on Facebook, you can see the items. Please help us get the word out so that we can reach our goal of raising more than $25,000. 100% of the proceeds will be given to Global Giving’s Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund.

I encourage all to visit the Facebook page and meander through the photos. Or better still... bid!
