This Saturday night sees the opening of The Clunes Ceramic Award Exhibition. The award is an acquisition prize with the winning entry for 2010 becoming part of Art Gallery of Ballarat’s permanent collection. The works of the 50 finalists will be exhibited in the historic town of Clunes at a variety of venues.
From all accounts there were many entries and I am chuffed to have been selected. The list of names is extensive and includes many friends and heroes of mine, so I am disappointed I won't make the opening but am going to try my hardest to visit at some time during the course of the show.
I've never been to Clunes.
All the more reason to visit I say.
