Don't want to come across obsessive compulsive (again).
So... things I like to throw with...

Assorted kidneys and cutting wire

I do like kidneys. Metal, rubber, wooden - each has it's own calling and I love using them all. The Mud kidneys are a bit of a revelation and I enjoy the surface they create but there is pure joy in throwing a straight sided cylinder with a wooden kidney.

Linen Thread

I use linen thread to cut pieces 'off the hump'.

Chamois

And there is always a very unattractive pieces of chamois draped over the side of my wheel to consolidate rims.
